Once all the tracks have been recorded and edited the mixing process can begin. This is where the PC comes into its own.

We recommend using Reaper for mixing and mastering.

The makers of Reaper describe it as a "powerful Windows application for multi-track recording and editing of audio". This is true enough, though we feel its real power is as a multi-track mixing and mastering application.

Reaper supports a range of 3rd party plug-ins (including VST/VSTi, DX/DXi plug-ins and many user-programmable Jesusonic effects). FX chains allow for unlimited FX per track and real-time FX processing as well as plug-in delay compensation.
